The republican’s agenda does not include jobs. Their main focus for the next two years will be undoing everything the Democratic Party did since President Obama took office. Darrell Issa recently called the Obama administration the most corrupt of all time. He never gave any specifics on what was corrupt.
The last time the republicans had a series of investigations was during the Reagan and Clinton Administrations. Whitewater and Lewinskygate cost the taxpayers 39.2 million dollars. Kenneth Starr was unable to come to with anything significant. The Whitewater investigation lasted for 4 ½ years. Lawrence Walsh spent 8 years investigating the Reagan Administration involvement in the Iran-Contra affair. That investigation had a price tag of 47.4 million dollars. Did anyone see Reagan get in trouble for Iran-Contra? The American people did not gain a thing from these two investigations.
Darrell Issa is not calling for long investigations and you can’t even begin to imagine the price tag this is going to cost us. This is the last thing the American people need during a recession. If you combine the Reagan and Clinton investigations, it could have provided unemployment and create jobs in the economy.
The republicans have no intentions on spending the next two years on jobs. In fact, the word jobs aren't even in their agenda. They can’t help the 99ers, but can waste the taxpayer money on endless investigations and come up empty handed.
