Repealing Health Care is the Republicans First Priority

If someone in the Republican Party wants to repeal health care should they relinquish their health care plans?  This is what Senator Charles Schumer thinks. He is targeting GOP leadership like House Majority Leader Eric Cantor (Va.) and others on this issue.  Schumer is asking that republicans that are going after health care reform to give up their health care plans.

Recently, newly elected Republican Rep. Andy Harris (Md.) brought attention to the health care fight when he complained back in November 2010 during orientation about the 28-day waiting period for health care benefits.  He was against anyone else having health care reform during the last election.   How do you even take someone like Harris seriously at this point?

Why would health care reform be the first thing the republicans focus on in this new congress?  When there are many economic problems in housing, unemployment and banks are still not lending to anyone.   The health care reform shenanigans can wait.  Job creation should be number one on the agenda.

The job market continues to lagging in this country and I feel it needs more attention than repealing any laws right now.  The republicans must have a lapse in memory because the economy and jobs are the very things they ran on in the 2010 election.  Yet, they have not spoken about either one since that time.  We should hold their feet to the fire and not let them off the hook for the election promises made back in 2010.  Nothing should trump the unemployed and job creation at this time.
